GGS Galileo is a software version of the GGS ProX golf simulator software that will allow real golf course players to enter (or download from a hand held GPS or Galileo device) all course ball landing positions and flight trajectory types in a game.
GGS Galileo can then replay the game in a full 3d Graphics golf course environment on a PC for analysis purposes.
Galileo itself is the European Space Agency's global positioning system that will far supercede the current US GPS system in terms of position accuracy.
(GPS: +/- 20 meter accuracy, Galileo +/- 0.5 meter accuracy)
Although the ESA's Galileo satellite system won't be operational for a few more years yet, we here at GGS systems are gearing up for this day with the GGS Galileo Golf Simulator software.
Until then, GPS or manual input can be used with GGS Galileo
for never before seen game playback analysis.
For all this to work correctly you will obviously require that your home course be available in the golf course library.
As there are approximately 31,857 courses in the world at present it is quite likely that your home course is not included.
GGS Galileo, however, can automatically create golf course 3d models from simple course layout images that you will be able to produce yourself.
(i.e. from the hole image on your score card.)
see Auto Golf Course Generation
GGS Galileo also includes all the GCD golf course designing tools so that you can enhance the automatically generated 3d models to higher levels of accuracy.
