Setting up Fades & Draws

Push / Pulls

Hooks & Slices

Even though the CX2 doesn't capture club data - which is required to calculate and produce curve in the ball flight - you can setup the system to produce simulated flight curve

The basic flight curves that can be simulated are : fades, draws, hooks and slices.

In order produce flight curve we need a relative club face angle to ball path that is not square.

This is done by adjusting the Fade / Draw slider button at the lower right hand side of the HCam window in the Control Panel

When set to zero - as in the above image - the club face will always be set equal to the ball path.

i.e. if the ball path is right or left 12 degrees, then the simulated club face will also be set to 12 degrees

either open (if ball path is right) or closed (when ball path is left)

This setup will always produce a straight push/pull ball flight - either straight left or straight right - and there will be no curve in the flight

If the fade/draw slider bar is set to a negative number then the club face will be set to a lesser angle than the ball path.

This will produce a relative-to-path closed club face angle if ball path is right and a a relative-to-path open club face angle if ball path is left.

This will then result in a fade or draw. i.e the ball will curve back to the intended path

The above image shows that the ball path starts off right but then curves back left

If the fade/draw slider bar is set to a positive number then the club face will be set to a greater angle than the ball path.

This will produce a relative-to-path open club face angle if ball path is right and a a relative-to-path closed club face angle if ball path is left.

i.e. we will be adding curve in the same direction as the ball path.

This will then result in a hook or slice. i.e the ball will continue to curve in the direction of the ball path

The above image shows that the ball path starts off right and continues to curve right

Of course, these measures only simulate the ball flight curve but - for most - produce a more realistic trajectory

Adding the CTS club tracking to the CX2 will produce the most realistic flight though

Note: The fade/draw slider is only available on CP versions 8.4.4.4 and upwards
